Yvette Lucero

Yvette formerly served as the graduate assistant for the Women’s Resource Center for the past two years and has now returned to the Women’s Resource Center where she will serve as the Coordinator. She is a recent 2009 University of Northern Colorado graduate, with a Masters of Public Health degree. Even though she has been living in Colorado for two years, she has to let it be known that she is originally from the “Alien Capital of the World,” Roswell, New Mexico. Yvette is very excited to have the opportunity to continue working at the WRC and UNC. Having worked and attended courses at UNC for the past two years, Yvette has been able to develop and strengthen her passion for higher education. She hopes that serving in this role will allow her to continue to provide students with opportunities that will allow them to grow and expand their interests.

Kenna Johnson

Stryker Institute for Leadership Development Director

Kenna Johnson is the director of the Stryker Institute for Leadership Development and holds a B.S. in Secondary Education as well as a M.S. in Education from Northwest Missouri State University. Before coming to UNC Kenna spent 16 years with the Federal TRiO Programs at Northwest Missouri State University; serving as an Upward Bound Director for 9 years and an Assistant Director of Student Support Services for 7 years. Kenna is very passionate about assisting and empowering students in overcoming obstacles and barriers they may face in achieving their college educations.

Fabiola Mora

Graduate Assistant

Fabiola Mora is our newest Graduate Assistant for the Women’s Resource Center. She is currently working on her Masters in Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership, and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education- Spanish in May 2009 from UNC. Fabiola is very passionate about education and excited to help all students, especially those from underrepresented communities, continue their education. She is the first person in her family to obtain both a Bachelors and soon a Masters degree, and is thankful for those who have helped her get here. Fabi is looking forward to working at the Women’s Resource Center and hopes that she will be able to open doors for others just like others have done for her.
